Cecelia A. Eyerly, age 80, of Park Street, Bloomsburg, died suddenly on the morning of Saturday, April 10 at her residence. She was a resident of her home on Park Street in Bloomsburg since 1959.
Cecelia was born on Friday, July 12, 1929 in Sheppton, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Check) Vilko. She attended the Sheppton Area Schools in Schuylkill County.
During most of her working career she was employed as a Personal Care Attendant. She was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Parish. She was also a member of the AARP and a Life Member of the Ft. McClure, Post #804 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She greatly enjoyed playing the Daily Number Lottery.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, married on September 1, 1967, Edwin A. Eyerly; two sons: Jeffery J. Klesh of Bloomsburg and Craig J. Klesh and his wife, Veronica of Bloomsburg; a sister: Rita Garrett of Sheppton, Pennsylvania, and a brother: John Wilko of West Hazleton and many nephews and nieces.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her first husband: Joseph Klesh; four brothers: Joseph Wilko, Frank Wilko, Andrew Wilko and James Wilko; and two sister: Mary Shenyo and Anna Duffy.
A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, April 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home at 745 Market Street in Bloomsburg. A Wake Service will be held Monday evening at 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 13 at 10 a.m. from the St. Columba Catholic Church at 342 Iron Street in Bloomsburg with Rev. Paul R. Fisher as celebrant.
